The house combines the cozy atmosphere only a log home can have with European comfort. It offers all amenities for 4 persons. The first floor hosts an exceptional kitchen, living dining room area and 4-piece bathroom with washer and dryer. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with 2 large single beds each. Views over the valley are offered by the upstairs and downstairs balcony.
Outside are picnic table, lounge chairs, barbecue place and carport. Bicycles are free and rental canoes are available.

Almost tame deer walk by the property and the totally natural river with its meadows is habitat for bald eagles, ospreys and many other bird species.

Guests find a peaceful setting with undisturbed privacy not far away from the small community of Winlaw. Haus Slocan River is the ideal starting point for day trips to explore the highlights of the scenery and many cultural attractions. Winlaw Park with its beaches and picnic area and Slocan valley rail trail are close by. The former rail road has been transformed into a wonderful hiking, bicycling and cross country ski trail in winter. 50km long, the trail accompanies the river though out whole Slocan valley to remote beaches and breeding grounds for many birds.

Not far away are nature parks of incredible beauty. Valhalla Provincial Park is close by and its trails guide the visitor into spectacular alpine meadows with idyllic mountain lakes. A golf course is in only 5 km distance, beautiful Nelson only 50km away. Days will fill easily with many kinds of adventures: discovery of nature while swimming, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, golfing, fishing, canoeing and kayaking as well as visiting hot springs , ghost towns, craft markets and local events.

Can $ 10.00 per day each additional person.
Can$ 50.00 final cleaning.
Minimum length of stay: 5 days.
We ask our guests not to smoke in the house and to bring house shoes along.
